When family members’ responsibilities are divided between home and work, they may not be able to provide attention to a loved one who is aging or experiencing disability and injury. Or, despite their presence, family members do not have enough capacity to attend to the needs of their loved ones. In such circumstances, the assistance of a home health aide may be employed to address the daily needs and health concerns of patients.
Although not trained clinically, licensed home health aides at Prestige Home Healthcare, Inc. are experienced in handling in-home patients and make the necessary observations to be reported to a clinical team. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Personal Care and ADL Training
- Assist with ambulation, transfers
- Promote safety at home
- Use of recreational and leisure time
Our certified home aides assist patients with activities of daily living, such as personal care, hygiene, grooming, repositioning, and transferring. Our home aides work under the supervision of our registered nurse to ensure compliance.
